Interesting. I thought this one was fantastic, and a great dystopia centered on the capitalist mentality of our country. I could very well see teen pregnancy becoming a comodity in a situation like this, and I thought it was handled extremely realisitically. It felt like our country, which is more than I can say for most YA dystopias out there these days. I can’t wait to read the next volume.

I saw it a BEA this year and they didn’t have many review copies, so when I finally got my hands on it, there was no way I was waiting for long before reading it. I completely agree with you about the changed perspective when you come across antique photos now.

Everyone should definitely read this book, it is a treat for its images and text. Love how Riggs wove them together so well. I would love to see his collection of photos. I k now I’ll be looking at these differently when I go to antique stores in the future.

I’m happy to see so many people reading it for R.I.P. as it is a perfect novel for the time of year. I almost wish I had saved it until it was cooler out but the temptation was too much when it was released.

I first read Jessica Warman with Breathless in 2009, then Where the Truth Lies last year, and then Between this year. While Between was certain page-turning, I didn’t think she did the characterization anywhere near as well as her first two books. :/ I still liked it, but preferred Breathless and Where the Truth Lies.

The book, "Dog Blood" does more than surpasses its predassor in story line, in mind boggeling pace and perception, and in sinisterness. This book is awesome. I read "hater" in 2007, and it was a long wait, but well worth it to get to this amazing sequal. The prequil inbetween "hater" and "dog blood" helps you to understand where the cousin come into play at the beginning of "dog blood" and ties the current events in with the past to help you get a feel of what danny went through during the few months that aren't included into the book. my oppinion, its a great read, and i can't wait for the next in the series.

I was stunned when I read it– an all-night read for sure. “A Boardwalk Story” is most refreshing new book I’ve read in years.

What an interesting sounding book! I love when I find a book I wouldn't normally read and wouldn't expect to like but do.

Oh! And I'd love love to go to The Point with you sometime and talk about knitting and books. Great timing too beacuse a co-worker and I were talking about whether or not there were any knitting cafes or places like that.
